Join us for the annual USA Dance Holiday Ball: the place to be every second Friday in December. This festive evening will feature dinner, dancing, and showcase performances by local ballroom instructors. All proceeds will go to benefit the Chattanooga USA Dance Youth Scholarship Fund: a fund that supports local youth who are otherwise unable to continue their dance education due to financial hardships. We hope you'll come to support this worthy cause and make Chattanooga USA Dance a part of your Holiday season.
This year, proceeds from the Chattanooga USA Dance Holiday Ball will be donated to the Chattanooga USA Dance Youth Scholarship Fund. This is a new fund, established by your local chapter, to benefit local student dancers who may need financial assistance in order to pursue ballroom dancing.
As a chapter we recognize that pursuing ballroom dancing as a hobby or as a career can be difficult financially, especially for students. We believe that as promoters of ballroom dancing, it is our duty to continue to support dancers of all ages and to continue the growth of ballroom dancing here in the Chattanooga area. Over the years, we've seen our population of student dancers gradually decrease; now, it's time to not only expose students to the world of ballroom dancing, but also to ensure that students have the ability to pursue ballroom if they so desire. The Chattanooga USA Dance Youth Scholarship is an application-based scholarship. Applicants will be asked to write an essay describing why they would like to pursue ballroom dancing. Scholarship recipients will be awarded with funds to go towards their choice of ballroom dancing lessons, admission to dance workshops, or admission to dance camps. Applications will be accepted starting January 1, 2018. Our students are our future. We hope that you will join with us to support the future of ballroom dancing here in Chattanooga.
